Privacy Policy

Files, editing, and conversions

The PDF editor, visual signature tools, merge/split tools, and currently available conversions (PDF to JPG/PNG, JPG/PNG to PDF, and text to PDF) use code running in your browser. The application does not intentionally transmit the selected documents or their contents to DocuHeroes servers to perform these operations. Finished files are downloaded through your browser. Files you choose may still be accessible to browser extensions, device software, or other software operating on your device.

Visual signatures are not identity verification or cryptographic digital signatures. Covering content with shapes is not secure redaction. Review finished files before sharing.

Optional locally saved drafts

Draft recovery is off by default. If you enable it, the original PDF, edits, and relevant settings are stored in your browser's IndexedDB storage on your device. These drafts are not encrypted by DocuHeroes. You may select one-day or seven-day retention, with one day as the default. Expired drafts are removed when the editor next checks for them; they are not automatically erased while the site is closed. Older drafts may follow an earlier seven-day expiry. You can delete saved drafts using the editor's deletion control, and browser storage cleanup may erase them sooner. Do not enable draft recovery on a shared device.

Website hosting and technical information

Our hosting and network providers, including Cloudflare, may process technical connection information such as IP addresses, browser and device details, requested pages, timestamps, and security signals to deliver and protect the site. We do not claim that browsing the website is anonymous. Their handling of this information is governed by their applicable practices and agreements.

Donations and payments

Our Support page currently explains a planned voluntary donation program. DocuHeroes does not currently accept payments or collect card details through the site. If we enable Stripe-hosted checkout for one-time or recurring contributions, we will update this policy before launch to explain what payment and billing information Stripe and DocuHeroes receive, how recurring payments are managed, and the relevant Stripe privacy terms.

Advertising and analytics

Advertising is not currently activated. The site may contain inactive placeholders reserved for future ads, but no advertising network is integrated in this release. If we introduce ads, providers may use cookies or similar technologies and process information such as IP addresses, device identifiers, and interactions to display, measure, or personalize advertising, subject to applicable laws and consent choices. We will update this policy, identify relevant providers, and implement required consent and opt-out controls before enabling those technologies. We will not intentionally send the contents of documents selected for editing or conversion to advertising providers.

We have not enabled a separate site analytics service in this release. Hosting-level request and security logs may still exist.

Cookies and local storage

The document editor uses local browser storage only when you enable draft recovery. The current application does not intentionally set advertising cookies. Browsers, extensions, and infrastructure providers may have separate storage behavior. If we add optional advertising or analytics technologies that use cookies or similar identifiers, we will explain them and provide any controls required by applicable law.

External resources and security

Our PDF libraries are bundled with the site instead of being loaded from third-party script CDNs. No online service can guarantee perfect security. Keep your browser and device updated, and consider clearing locally saved drafts after working with sensitive documents.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as features, payment providers, or advertising arrangements change. We will revise the date above when we publish material changes.
